About

Our Mission

The mission of Mill Creek Pride is to inspire, celebrate, strengthen, and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community of Mill Creek, WA.

In Mill Creek, LGBTQIA+ folks, families and allies often have to leave town to find connection and celebration. We’re here to change that.

Mill Creek Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to create safe, joyful and visible spaces right here in our own community – visible spaces that say you belong here.

We began with a group of caring adults and community members who saw a need: a need for safety, visibility, and belonging, especially for LGBTQIA+ youth facing challenges in our schools and neighborhoods.

That same longing for community was echoed by adults too – people looking for connection, support, and a space to simply be themselves, without having to leave town to find it.

We are volunteer-run, grassroots, and community-powered. Every event we create – and every donation we receive – helps us build a Mill Creek that is welcoming and inclusive for all.

Chel Romeo

Community Relations

Hi, I’m Chel! I joined Millcreek Pride to connect with the community and help it glow. You can often find me at coffee shops, thrift stores, and local markets. I love slow, mindful hobbies and taking time to reconnect with myself.

I live with my husband and our two little dogs in my childhood home. We spend plenty of cozy time gaming together and hanging out with the pups. We all look forward to our daily walk. I enjoy quiet mornings with my journal, a good book, and a hot cup of coffee.

I’m excited to be part of this community and look forward to meeting and growing alongside all of you.
